Recieved the award from 'India Book of Record' and 'Asia Book of Record' as Largest Hindi Manuscript Engraved on Titanium Sheet.
The manuscript is the largest book of the sect, written on the Life of God Swaminarayan. This is was composed by Saint Sadhguru Sri Adharanandaswamy in the presence of Swaminarayan God. The manuscript is 4 foot in height and weigh around 33kg. In this epic volume there are 1,02,564 Doha-Chopai-Soratha and is engraved in view to preserve the rich heritage for the future generations.
After engraved in Titanium this book is now safe from fire, earthquake and preserved for long life. Swamiji has prepared the first copy of this Titanium book and dedicated it to the mother of the sect Vadtal Dham. This is the first time that such a large volume of spiritual texts has been engraved on Titanium metal sheet in the history of the world. This also inspire others to take initiative to preserve rich manuscripts from our ancient Indian culture.
This book was written 160 years ago from today and the paper was feared to be damaged by termites and fungus. So each page was scanned into a computer which can be stored in the hard drive but there also is a danger of destroyed anytime. Hence a decision was taken to engraved it on Titanium sheets which can be preserved for long time.
The main reason for choose Titanium for its long durability, no fear of being damaged by the pests just like paper, non corrosive, not melt easily even at extremely high temperatures, ability to lose weight is much higher, does not have the effect of salts, sea salt or chlorine. This metal is very valuable because of its many properties and finalise by the sect to engrave the manuscript.
Talking about the process first a digital image is created by scanning the original manuscript and turned them intoblack and white with the help of a software. Then the cleaning process is done to ensure no defect remains there. The DFX file is then created by the software on the proofed pages and after this process laser engraving is initiated on the Titanium plates.
The handwritten Sriharicharitramritsagar Granth has been embossed on a sheet of Titanium metal in a size of 12x6 inches. The approximate weight of each sheet is 130 grams and its thickness is 0.65 mm. The total pages are 6202 and 12404 pages. Total of 34 boxes are preared to preserve the manuscript weighs one ton. Alphabet sheet of Gujarati, Hindi and English language has been kept in the boxes with a purpose that people can read this book after millions of years.
It has taken three-and-a-half years to engrave this manuscript in Titanium metal.
