The
All-India Senior Selection Committee, chaired by MSK Prasad, announced the
squad for the upcoming T20I and Test series against Bangladesh in Mumbai on
Thursday, 24 October.
Skipper
Virat Kohli has been rested for the T20I series while Rohit Sharma will be
leading in his absence. Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube has been included in the
side for the shortest format.
The Test
team remains unchanged from the one that played the three Test matches against
South Africa.
Meanwhile,
MS Dhoni continues to remain unavailable for the third series in a row since
India’s semi-final exit from the World Cup in England earlier this year.
The
forthcoming home series against Bangladesh is scheduled to be held from the 3 –
26 November 2019 and will comprise 3 T20Is and 2 Tests.
