The project Yoga Prahari was started by District Superintendent of Police Divya Mishra from May 2020 as part of a new and innovative experiment to increase the immunity of the officers and employees of Kheda District Police Team and to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

 In the beginning of this project, it was a challenge to do yogic breathing (Pranayama) exercise for 10 minutes every day. But now four phases have been successfully completed by the team.

Considering the gradual success of Project Yogprahari and understanding the seriousness of the transition of Corona, Project Yogprahari-5 is being launched for a further 100 days from 7/9/2050 to 15/12/2020.

District Superintendent of Police Divya Mishra said, that in Project Yogaprahari-1, a total of 36 officers of Kheda District Police enthusiastically participated in the 21-day challenge in May and four officers showed great interest and completed the challenge 100 percent successfully. While 10 officers completed 75 percent were successful in doing Pranayama.

The project was then implemented for 30 days in June in which a total of 540 police personnel of Kheda police team participated and out of them 17 officers completed the challenge 100 percent successfully. The other 64 officers / employees managed to do Pranayama for more than 75 percent days.

Project Yogprahari-3 was started in the month of July for 31 days in which a total of 721 police officers and employees voluntarily joined and 125 officers completed 100 percent successfully. Another 207 officers / employees managed to do Pranayama for more than 75 percent.

Project Yogaprahari-4 was started in the month of August for 21 days in which a total of 1276 police officers voluntarily joined, in which a total of 666 officers and employees managed to do Pranayama for more than 75 percent. Out of which 280 officers/ employees completed 100% successfully.

Divya Mishra has requested the police officers to participate in the project Yogprahari-5 with more enthusiasm.  He said that this is a big challenge but with the will and perseverance to achieve anything in life, the officers and staff of Kheda district police team deserve special appreciation for their commitment and dedication in this difficult situation and with the duty of 24×7.

He added that Kheda district police with all its strength and enthusiasm is committed to serve and protect the citizens of Kheda district.
