IRCTC surpassed figure of 1 lakh meals to needy persons across West Zone

In its endeavors towards mitigating the hunger requirements of the needy during the National Shutdown, IRCTC has now surpassed the figure of 1 lakh meals distributed across West Zone region including W. Rly. areas of Mumbai & Ahmedabad on a cumulative basis. Meanwhile, IRCTC supplied 7550 bhojans on Tuesday across Mumbai and Ahmedabad in coordination with WRly, RPF and Commercial departments.

According to a press release issued by WR CPRO Ravinder Bhakar, WR on its part is making all efforts to reach out to the needy persons and provide all assistance wherever possible during COVID 19 pandemic situation. In addition to this, Ahmedabad division distributed 4195 food packets among poor and needy people of the areas near various railway stations. 241 food packets received from commercial staff and NGOs M/s. Jalaram Seva Trust and M/s. Lohana Yuvak Pavan Mandal were distributed by Rajkot division.

Vadodara division supplied 200 food packets in nearby station area. 260 food packets and Ration kits received from commercial staff and NGOs were distributed at Junagadh, Botad, Veraval, Bhavnagar and Porbandar stations by Bhavnagar division. Ratlam division distributed 495 food packets. Jain social group Dahanu distributed meals to poor and needy people at Dahanu Rly station with the help of RPF.
