INX Media: ED arrests Chidambaram after questioning at Tihar

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday, 16 October, arrested former finance minister P Chidambaram in the INX Media case after the investigating agency interrogated him in Tihar jail.

The former finance minister, arrested by the CBI, is currently in judicial custody, which a special CBI court extended till 17 October on 3 October.

Chidambaram sought bail from the Supreme Court on Tuesday in the INX Media corruption case, saying the CBI wants to keep him in custody to humiliate him.
