India’s GDP Slows to 5% in April-June From 8% in 2018: Government Data

India's economic growth has slowed to 5% in April-June from 8% a year ago, according to Government data.

Just a while ago, on Friday(today) 30 August, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced multiple mergers of public sector banks (PSBs).

With this announcement, India will now have 12 PSBs.
