The PMO said on Sunday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will convene a review meeting with district judges from over 40 districts with low COVID-19 vaccine coverage on November 3.
The conference, which will be held through video conferencing, will include districts with less than 50% first-dose coverage and low second-dose coverage, according to the announcement.
The 40 districts are located in Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Meghalaya, among other states, and the summit will be attended by the chief ministers of these states.
The meeting will take place as soon as Modi returns from attending the G20 and COP26 summits, according to the PMO.
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya recently revealed that more than 10.34 crore people in the country have not received the second dosage of the vaccine after the required period has expired, highlighting the need to expedite the speed and coverage of immunisation.
