Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day visit to his home state Gujarat, reached Surat a short while ago.

He received a grand welcome from the people of the Diamond City, who gathered in a large number to witness the Prime Minister's Road Show at Limbayat.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation, various projects worth more than 3400 crore rupees in a short while from now.

The projects include developmental works at the ambitious DREAM City project and laying of the foundation stone of new bio Diversity Park in Surat along with various infrastructure projects.

The main entrance of Dream City built at a cost of 9.53 crore rupees will also be inaugurated by the Prime Minister today.

Later, Prime Minister will travel to Bhavnagar to launch multiple developmental initiatives worth over 5,200 crore rupees.

These include the foundation stone laying of world's first CNG terminal at Bhavnagar.

The Prime Minister will also hold a road show in Bhavnagar.
