PM Modi arrives in Washington DC on four-day visit to United States

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Washington DC this morning on a four-day visit to the US. Braving rain, hundreds of Indian community members gathered at the airport to welcome Mr Modi. As the Prime Minister's plane landed in Washington, exuberant members of the Indian diaspora started cheering.

Mr Modi has thanked Indian community in Washington DC for the warm welcome. In a tweet, he said, our diaspora is our strength. Mr Modi said, it is commendable how the Indian diaspora has distinguished itself across the world.
