Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an audio chat with BJP workers in his parliamentary seat on Tuesday (January 18) ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, reaffirming the BJP's commitment to development. During the engagement, subjects like as the restoration of the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, women empowerment, infrastructure, and healthcare development were discussed.

Modi urged party members to educate the public about the importance of voting, emphasising that every vote counts. "Each vote is important, we must tell people the importance of voting," said PM Modi.

Prime Minister Modi instructed one of the 'karyakartas' (party workers) to broaden the reach of the government's welfare initiatives to include farmers, adding that they "should make farmers aware of the use of chemical-free fertilisers." Modi also discussed a number of national initiatives that help the people of Varanasi as a whole.

He encouraged users to contribute to a component of his app called 'Kamal Pushp,' which displays some "inspiring" party members. "The NaMo app has a really cool area called 'Kamal Pushp,' which allows you to share and learn about amazing party 'karyakartas,'" he explained. The prime minister also discussed the BJP's micro-donation programme, which aims to generate finances from members and others through modest donations.

Since the Election Commission (EC) released the calendar for the Assembly elections in five states, including Uttar Pradesh, this was PM Modi's first political meeting with party workers. Following the rise in Covid-19 instances, the EC issued an order prohibiting political parties from holding roadshows, rallies, or padayatras until January 22. Beginning February 10, elections for the 403 Assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will be held in seven phases. In Uttar Pradesh, voting will take place in seven rounds on February 10, 14, 20, 23, 27, and March 3 and 7. The results of the election will be announced on March 10.
