Lord Vitthalnathji 212th procession cancelled for the second straight year due to covid epidemic

This year too celebrations have been cancelled due to corona and organisers are celebrating the festivals with limited people and in a very simple way observing the Covid 19 guidelines. On the occasion of Prabodhini Ekadashi falls on Tuesday, the 212th procession of Lord Vitthalnathji in Vadodara was cancelled due to the present scenario. The procession was taken out inside the temple premises among the presence of priest, family members and limited people. The temple management make arrangements for online and special limited time darshan for the devotees.

The procession is taken out from the temple run by the royal family in the center of Vadodara city for many years after worshiping Lord Vitthalnathji on the day of Dev Uthi Ekadashi. However due to the corona situation and possible prediction of third wave, the temple administrators have decided not to hold a procession in the city this year too and instead move inside the temple premises.

Seated inside a silver palanquin Lord Vitthalnathji was worshiped as per the tradition inside the temple premises. Rajmata Shubhangini Raje Gaekwad worshipped the Lord as per tradition and the procession begins. Limited people were allowed inside the temple for the rituals and everyone pray for the well being of people and also to save them from the third wave of Corona.

After the procession, the temple was opened for the devotees with a time limit. The temple management also make arrangements for online darshan of the annual event. The marriage of Shree Hari with Tulsi will be concluded in the evening.Lord Vitthalnathji 212th procession cancelled for the second straight year due to covid epidemic
