A few months ahead of Uttar Pradesh polls, Income Tax (I-T) raids were reported at the residence of Samajwadi Party (SP) national secretary Rajeev Rai. Raids are underway at more locations at the premises of people close to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, sources reported.

"I have no criminal background or black money. I help people and government didn't like it. This is a result of that," Rai told ANI. Premises of RCL Group promoter Manoj Yadav and his residence in Mainpuri were also raided, according to the reports.
