Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to chair an all-political party meeting in Imphal, Manipur today. Mr. Shah will review the prevailing situation and meet all stakeholders to restore peace and communal harmony in the State.
Amit Shah reached Imphal last night on a three-day visit to Manipur. Just after his arrival, Mr. Shah attended a Cabinet meeting in which rehabilitation and resettlement plans for the affected families were discussed.
Yesterday, three civilians succumbed to their bullet injuries. Six persons, including one jawan of the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB), suffered bullet injuries in different incidents that took place in the State.
Suspected Kuki terrorists attacked civilians of Suganu village in Kakching district. Three civilians died on the spot while two got injured.
