The Election Commission will announce the schedule for state assembly polls on Friday afternoon.

The Commission is expected to announce the poll schedule for assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana.

Along with Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir, assembly elections are due in Maharashtra and Jharkhand as well.

Recently, team of election commission visited Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana to review preparation for upcoming assembly polls.
