The Enforcement Directorate has sent a fresh summons to AAP convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday, the ninth so far.

The federal agency has asked him to appear before it on March 21 for questioning in the excise policy linked money laundering case.

Kejriwal has been asked to depose at the central agency's office in central Delhi.

The summons come as Kejriwal refused to appear before the agency, calling them illegal.

A Delhi court on Saturday had granted bail to Kejriwal on two complaints filed by the agency against him for skipping six of the previous eight summons in this case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed two complaints before the magisterial court, seeking Kejriwal's prosecution for skipping multiple summonses issued to him in the case.

AAP's legal head Sanjeev Nasiar had called the summons illegal.

However, Kavitha, a member of the Telangana Legislative Council and daughter of former state chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, was remanded to ED custody for a week by a Delhi Court on Saturday in connection with the Excise Policy Case. Kavitha, 46, was arrested from her Banjara Hills residence on Friday.
