A new building for the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) in Maharashtra's Pune was opened by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday (December 19).

Shah, who is in Maharashtra for a two-day visit, paid a visit to the CFSL campus in Pune at 11 a.m., then joined National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) members for a 'Bada Khana' (a practise in Army and paramilitary forces to plan lunch or dinner on major days) at 1 p.m.

Later, at 2 p.m., the minister will attend the VAMNICOM Convocation at the VAMNICOM Campus in Pune.

Earlier in the day, the BJP leader visited the famed Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple and offered prayers.

Shah will speak at a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Pune city workers' gathering later today. The Home Minister offered prayers at Shirdi's Sai Baba temple on Saturday. He has previously attended the Dr Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Literary Award presentation and the Cooperation Council.
