In order to provide quality education in private schools to the children of poor and deprived families under Right to Education, registration has been done in class one by filling online admission forms. Even in Vadodara, there has been a huge rush of parents this year to get admission in private schools. However, 700 seats have been reduced this year compared to last year and as a result, many children from poor families will be deprived of admission under RTE.
Under the right to education, in the academic year 2021-22, 7936 students have filled up the forms for admission against the 3800 seats available for admission in Std 1. Under the RTE economically weam children are given admission in private schools and the admissions has started this year.
The last day of filling the forms is over and 7936 students have applied for avaliable 3800 seats. The first list will be released after July 13.
Giving details Shivangi Shastri, an official of the district education office, said that this year, under the right to education, there are 3800 seats available in standard one. Parents of 7936 students have registered for 3800 seats. Now the process of verification of filled online documents has been started. The eligibility of all the filled forms will be checked and will continue till July 13th. After a week later, the list of the first round of admission under RTE will be released.
She further said that there has been no increase in seats this year as compared to last year in view of the Corona epidemic. Last year there were 4500 seats, but this year the seats are 3800.
It is worth mentioning that many parents' jobs have been affected due to the Corona epidemic. Instead of increasing the number of seats under the Right to Education this year, many students will be deprived of admission.
