After won the women’s T20 series, Indian team is all geared up to make their record straight as they are scheduled to play three ODI’S in Vadodara. Captain Mithali Raj says the series is a good opportunity for the new players in the team to practice their skills.

The South Africa women’s cricket team are currently touring India to play against India women’s cricket team. After the completion of Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20) matches, both the teams are scheduled to play three ODI’S in Vadodara. The first match is on 9th October followed by two more matches on 11th and 14th October at Reliance cricket stadium.

After the injury to their star player Smriti Mandhana, India’s batting faces stern test against their opponents in tbe series. Mandhana was ruled out of the series due to injury during the practice session ahead of the first match. She Test Against South Africa

The Indian cricket team led by Mithali Raj received a massive jolt on the eve of the first of three ODIs against South Africa as Smriti Mandhana was ruled out of the series due to an injury picked up during a training session and replaced by Pooja Vastrakar. Captain Mithali Raj is hopeful for making their record straight after winning the T20 series ahead of the ODI’s in Vadodara. She also said the series is good opportunity for the new players in the team.

“Baroda one day series will be competitive and we are confident to play good cricket as a unit against our opponents. Many new players are getting the opportunities this time and we hope they can utilise their chance. Baroda always is a high scoring ground and the we are hoping for a good score against our opponents,” said Mithali Raj captain India Women.

South Africa Women team is also confident and anticipate a competitive series against India in Vadodara. They said to have a tough tour in India but get the better momentum running from the last T20 series. The youngsters in the team gets lots of exposure by playing against India. They praised the Indian spinners for their bowling and play our game accordingly.
