More than 23 crore doses administered

India has crossed a major landmark in vaccination against Covid-19. More than 23 Crore Cumulative Vaccine Doses have been administered in the country so far. Health Ministry said, more than 31 lakh 20 thousand Vaccine doses were administered yesterday.

Out of which more than 28 lakh 70 thousand beneficiaries were vaccinated for 1st dose and more than two lakh 49 thousand beneficiaries received 2nd dose. The country launched the world’s largest Vaccination drive on 16th January this year.

More than 16 lakh 19 thousand beneficiaries of the age group 18 to 44 years received their first dose of COVID vaccine yesterday and and more than 41 thousand beneficiaries of the same age group received their second dose.

Cumulatively, over two crore 76 lakh persons across 37 States and Union Territories have received Vaccine dose since the start of Phase-3 of the vaccination drive. The Ministry said, Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal have administered more than 10 lakh beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years for the first dose of COVID vaccine.
