Hindalco appoints Satish Pai as MD

At a board meeting on Saturday 28 th May 2016, Hindalco Industries Ltd appointed Satish Pai ,currently deputy managing director and as the managing director.

Bhattacharya, will relinquish office as managing director with effect from 31 July 2016,” Hindalco, the flagship company of the Aditya Birla Group and India’s biggest aluminium manufacturer.The firm reported a 123% rise in net profit in the quarter ended March on account of lower one-time charges, beating estimates by a wide margin.

Officials said Bhattacharya will continue as non-executive director and has also been appointed as vice-chairman.

Praveen Kumar - Chief Financial Officer of Maheshwari has been admitted as the whole-time director on the board of the company for a term of five years.
