Heated arguments between encroachment team and locals at Kapurai crossing in Vadodara

Heated arguments broke out between officials and locals who went to remove encroachments near Dabhoi road Kapurai Char Rasta in Vadodara city. Locals alleged that the encroachment was removed at the behest of the builders.

Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan has recently launched a campaign to remove the encroachments on the road line. Under which, the team of the branch with the police reached near Kapurai crossing on Dabhoi road to remove the illegal encroachments.
Officials from the Town Planning Department also joined the team.

As the team reached Kapurai Char Rasta with police reinforcements, locals arrived and protested against removal of encroachments. However, the team continued the operation to remove the structures with the help of police. Locals said no notice was issued by the corporation and on Tuesday they came to remove the structures.

Locals also alleged that the encroachment team was removing the structure under the pressure of the builders. They also alleged that the corporation was frequenting Kapurai crossing instead of other areas of the city to remove the encroachments.

Police control the situation and remove the crowd before the matter went out of their hands. The team removed the illegal structures from the area amidst protest from locals.
