Bharat the land of knowledge is full of rich values and morals along with the academics which gives us a unique identity in the world. As the country is moving towards 75 years of its independence we are aiming to make a New India and the young generation of today has a vital role to play for the glorious future.

‘Gyanodadhi’ (ज्ञानोदधि) Fellowship and Internship program is one such opportunity for India’s brightest and most promising youth from premier Universities/Colleges and institutes to serve as part time teachers to students in Government primary schools located in Vadodara. This fellowship aims to inculcate the moral and Indic values, skills, general knowledge, traffic education and more such subjects related to life skills which can nurture the students with great inspiration and motivate them to be obedient-patriotic citizens, efficient professional and a good person in their life ahead.

“Teaching in classrooms and working with key education stakeholders like students, principals, and parents the fellows get exposed to the grassroot realities of India’s education system and begin to cultivate the knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to attain positions of leadership in education and identify their role in building a wider movement for educational equity in the country. Our interns transform the life paths of children in their classroom, and also learn towards leadership in educational equity for making a New India. This program is one of its kind to be recognised by ‘Nagar Prathmik Shikshan Samiti’ – Vadodara,” Rangam Trivedi Founder, Bhavya Bharat Foundation.

In Internship program, the interns will have to contribute 3 hours a day (One Day a week) for 10 weeks where as in fellowship program the fellow has to adopt a school for 4 months. They will also be trained by experts on how to teaching techniques before the commencement of internship.

The curriculum will include introduction to Indian languages, festivals, geographical importance & conditions, Sanskrit Subhashit. They will also be inspired by moral stories, life stories of Indian legends as well as successful personalities. Their speaking and writing skills will also be enhanced through various activities. They will also be given guidance to students on first aid, disaster management as well as inform students on government schemes related to them.

Workshops on self defense, robot making, essay writing and Yoga are some of the other subjects that cover the curriculum. They will also be given detailed introduction to National song and its meaning. Apart from this, the intern has to visit home of atleast 5 students and interact with their family members in the internship period. Students will be felicitated and certified by ‘Municipal school board’ after successful completion of the internship.
