Youth drowned inside Mahisagar river near Sindhrot

One of the two youths who went for a picnic on the banks of Mahisagar river at Sindhrot near Vadodara city drowned and lost his life. It may be mentioned here that a large number of people had gathered on the banks of Sindhrot Mahi river on Sunday to get relief from the scorching heat. Police have evacuated people from the river after the drowned in the Mahi River.

According to information received, Akash Rajkumar, who lives near Waghodia crossing and works in a private company, had gone for a picnic with his friend Gaurav Sharma on the banks of Sindhrot Mahi river. Akash Rajkumar was bathing sitting on a rock on the bank of the river and suddenly fell into the flowing water and began to drown. He went missing in the rushing water in front of stranded people.

Meanwhile, the TP-13 fire brigade reached the river bank within minutes of the incident being reported to the Vadodara Fire Brigade. The incident was reported to the taluka police and a team rushed to the spot. The family of Akash who went missing in the river also reached the spot after the message. At one side fire brigade began searching for the missing youth and on the other hand the police vacated the place from people came their for picnic.

The body of Akash, who drowned in the Mahi river, was recovered by the fire brigade and handed over to the police. Police took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem. They have registered a case of accidental death and initiated further investigation into the matter.
