The ambulance was on its scheduled visit to MVD- Vaniyad Chhanbhoi village in Shinor taluka in Vadodara district and the owner of a Jersey cow came to Dr. Himani about the illness. The cow is estimated to cost about Rs. 30 to 40 thousand. Immideately Dr. Himani Ravi and Pilot Rajeshbhai Pagi both went to the owner's house to check the Jersey cow's illness and found Retention of Placenta. Dr. Himani, pilot Rajeshbhai and their team worked together to save the life of the cow by the timely treatment.

This mobile veterinary clinic once again proved to be a blessing for the cattle keepers of Vadodara district including Shinor. The owner of Jersey cow thanked the team to save his cow.

In collaboration with GVK EMRI and Gujarat Animal Husbandry Department, 17 mobile veterinary dispensaries (MVDs) are functioning in Vadodara district and so far treated 62210 animals free of cost.

So far, the veterinary doctors of mobile veterinary dispensaries has saved the lives of 1,50,768 schedule animals and emergency. In which 1,43,742 animals have been treated free of cost during Schedule in 10 allotted villages 7026 in Emergency.

There are a total of 17 mobile veterinary hospitals in Vadodara district including Nandesari, Sindhrot, Ramnath in Vadodara taluka, Muval and Saraswani in Padra, Kanbha and Karmadi in Karjan, Anandi and Vaniyad in Shinor, Karnali and Simlia in Dabhoi, Amareshwar and Rajpura in Waghodia, Vemar and Champaner in Savli Valavav, Varsada in Desar Taluka.
