In a statement in Vadodara Gujarat Revenue Minister Rajendra Trivedi said, the veg and non veg larries operating on footpath are similar to temporary land grabbing and shall be removed immediately. It is like encroachment on public place which meant for public and welcome the decision by the Vadodara Mahanagar Seva Sadan.
On Thursday VMSS Standing Committee Chairman Dr. Hitendra Patel issued order to the teams as part of the 15 days drive to stop the manner in which non vegetarian food is sold by hanging it in public and also make arrangements to sell it in other ways. There are issues of traffic due to such larries and also hygiene is not maintained. It is also matter of faith as it hurt the sentiments of citizens when they see non veg food hanging in open.
during a program in Vadodara he support thr decision by the corporation and said that no one has the right to do business on the sidewalk. The encroachment on footpath is similar to land grabbing and veg and Non veg larries must removed. People found uneasy by the smoke coming out from them and It must be removed.
He also give credit to police for quick investigation and file chargesheet which help in quick judgement by POSCO court of Surat in four year old girl rape case. He said such accused will not be spared and every case shall be fast tracked while also mentioned the recent Gandhinagar case.
