Minister of State for Home Affairs Pradipsinh Jadeja held a crime review meeting with City Police Commissioner, Range IG and SP to review in detail the steps taken to curb crime, reduce it and achieve success. He was accompanied by Narmada Development Minister Yogesh Patel, MLA's Jitu Sukhadia, Seema Mohile, Manisha Vakil, Shailesh Mehta and gave instructions after discussing police matters and solutions.

Home Minister felicitates police officials including Jaydipsinh Jadeja, Amita Vanani and others for their commendable service during the Corona period and crack down on fake Ramdesivir, fake sanitizer, black market of oxygen cylinders and based on cctv successful in cracks down on chain snatching gangs, foreign gangs involved in cyber crime, brought back the international drug mafia and others.

As per the suggestion of Narmada Development Minister, he has requested Mayor Keyur Rokadia to start an Urban Health Center at the Lalbagh SRP camp for police families and at the Pratapnagar Police Headquarters to which he responded positively.

The Home Minister lauded the excellent performance of the team Vadodara Police in various fields by giving examples. He said that Team Vadodara Police has done an excellent job in the state in helping and warmth to women, children and elders in sensitive projects like Good Touch Bad Touch, ground breaking investigation of Love Jihad cases, action against land grabbers and exposing cyber crimes. ShE team Vadodara's performance has also been excellent.

He said that new police stations at Kumbharwada, Akota, Atladara and Kapurai have been sanctioned keeping in view the breadth of Vadodara city and to strengthen the Vadodara Police. With the establishment of 300 for these new police stations, an increase of 63 has been made in the establishment for the city police, provision has been made for allotment of 33 Bolero jeeps and 52 motorcycle vehicles along with necessary equipments. Body Worn cameras will also be provided to the department.

At present 1355 CCTV cameras have been installed and 650 more are planned in the second phase of project Vishwas.

Regarding the submissions of the MLAs, he said that the crime would be registered against the recovery agents who have resorted to threatning for recovery of loans. He also instructed to intensify cctv surveillance in city Police station area and take steps including verification of Aadhaar card in appropriate cases.

He lauded the initiative of Vadodara Police to use multi-drug test device kit for drug related crimes. He instructed to take appropriate action in the submissions including increasing surveillance on the Akota Dandia Bazaar bridge. Mayor has requested to take a sympathetic decision regarding the fine of vehicles during the Corona period. In addition, matters including police cooperation in the operation to remove encrochments by the corporation were discussed.

City Police Commissioner Dr. Shamsher Singh welcoming the Minister of State for Home Affairs, gave a detailed presentation on the increase in detection of serious crimes as compared to last year and the steps taken to reduce traffic accidents. He informed about the establishment of Child Friendly Corner in each police station, cooperation of city police in vaccination of Corona, first aid including assistance of Rs. 25 lakh to the families of Corona Warrior martyrs. He lauded the cooperation of the political wing in police operations.
