As part of maintaining law and order situation in view of the upcoming Panchayat elections, police is running a special drive in Vadodara district to find out prohibition cases. As part of it Vadodara Taluka police caught Indian Made Foreign Liquor buried inside the ground at Sherkhi village. The accused kept a teenager for protection of the liquor. Police seized the liquor and registered case against the three under various sections.

As per details, Vadodara Taluka police team during patrolling on 12th December received information about Sherkhi resident Mafatbhai Mali, Vijay Mali and Sanjay Mali hid IMFL inside a pit in backyard of their house. Based on that the team raid the spot and found one minor kept by the accused to watch the liquor. Before that Sanjay Mali managed to fled from there on seeing the police team.

The team found liquor stocked inside two drums hidden inside the pit and registered case against the three under prohibition and Juvenile Justice Act. Police seized liquor worth around 72000 from the spot and further investigating. The minor caught by the police is brother in law of Sanjay Mali.
