Vadodara She team mega drive to caught taporis involved in eve teasing
Vadodara She team is running a mega drive in the city to caught the taporis sitting near schools, bus stops, hostels and involved in eve teasing and obscene gestures to the passing girls. The teams caught around five such accused after a decoy by the She team members and spread a strong message to such people.
Vadodara Sayajigunj She team during patrolling on 16th December caught two romeos from Vitcos bus stop near MSU for eve teasing. The team of WPC Pooja Babulal and WLRD Jagruti Bharatbhai dressed up in simple dress as part of decoy caught Anil Jingar and Jafarali Khan for obscene gestures to passing girls. Both were booked under GP Act 110,117.
Mega drive of Tapori Decoy was carried out at Vadodara city to ensure the safety and security of women and girls students. Police ke of watch at Gardens, bus stand, Railway station, near socities, Pan Gallas where they involve in Teasing, Chasing, Making obscene comments, gestures, Playing obscene songs, flirting with women and girls. Legal action has been taken against Taporis who was found behaving shamelessly in public.
In Successful decoys Sama Police Station caught one on 1st December 2021, Harni police station team caught two on 15th December 2021, Warasia police station team caught one on 15th December 2021 and Sayajiganj Police Station team on 15th December 2021 caught two in this regard.
"This is a routine part of the duty of She team, but on instructions of police commissioner we are running a mega drive in the city and caught such taporis sitting at various places and involved in eve teasing. Our teams first review the areas like schools, hostels, tution classes, bus stops known for such incidents. Then in normal dress up the members kept a decoy and caught such accused involved in eve teasing and obscene gestures to the passing girls. Total of three she teams are placed at every police station of the city, where two patrolling on Bolero and one on Jupiter. The teams ensure a secure and safe environment for women, senior citizens and girls," said ACP Amita Vanani Nodal officer She team.
