Vadodara police get seven days remand from the court for Sallaudin Sheikh and Mohammad Umar Gautam in illegal funding case. For the first time in history of Vadodara the proceedings continued till late in the night and after arguments the court grant seven days remand of the accused.

Now the police will investigate about their connections, people associated with them and also taken to States like Maharshtra, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh for their links. Police present 19 points before the court seeking remand for the accused.

The accused managing trustee of Afmi Charitable Trust from Vadodara, Sallauddin Jainuddin Sheikh and his accomplices got together and as part of a criminal conspiracy, get money from various countries in the trust's FCRA account and also Hawala money for illegal funding in conversion, provide financial assistance to CAA protesters in Delhi as well as to release the accused caught in the communal riots and to meet the legal costs and build mosques in Gujarat and other states.

On Saturday Uttar Pradesh police present both under production warrant before the court where Vadodara police get seven days remand of the accused. "Court denied our custody plea but kept open our remand rights. We put 19 points before the court in our remand application which includes the accused are involved in serious offences and also needed in investigation. After arguments the court grant seven days remand of both the accused till 23 October.

They are involved in illegal funding for conversion, assistance to CAA protestors in Delhi and other illegal activities. We will investigate their connections and people they were associated with at different cities and states. They will also be taken to Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh as part of the investigation about their links.
