Due to continuous heavy rains, people in Jamnagar district were in trouble due to flooding. Under the first instruction and guidance of the new Chief Minister of the state, Bhupendrabhai Patel, the district administration carried out a comprehensive rescue operation in which the Vadodara-based 06 Battalion of National Disaster Management Force - NDRF is contributing.

According to the NDRF's public relations spokesperson at Vadodara, the Vadodara team is working with the local authorities in Panjetan Nagar of Kalawad taluka to rescue those trapped in the floods.

According to the information, the crew members rescued 13 women, 11 men and 7 children from the flood of Kalavadi river and shifted them to a safe place. The team are currently conducting rescue operations in effected areas.
