Vadodara NCC celebrate 22nd Kargil Victory Day with blood donation camp

Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26 July every year in honour of the Kargil War Heroes. The war was fought for more than 60 days and ended on 26 July 1999 as India successfully took command of the high posts.

To thank the soldiers who stood firm for the defence of the country and to remember the sacrifices of the martyred heroes, a blood donation camp was organized at the 3 Battalion NCC to celebrate the 22nd Kargil Victory Day. Around 100 NCCs cadets of Vadodara donate blood to pay tribute to soldiers killed during the Kargil war.

Colonel Falnikar visited the camp and encouraged NCC Cadets to serve the country. He gave an overview of his experiences and the Kargil war to motivate the cadets. He paid tribute to the heroes who were martyred in the Kargil war.

Minister Yogesh Patel addressing the cadets recalled the sacrifices of the soldiers. He said that the youth of country is the bright future of India and in order to protect the country, one must always be vigilant and united. He remembered the sacrifices of the soldiers and paid tribute to them.
