Vadodara girl Nisha Kumari start running non stop for 12 hours as part of 75 years of Independence Day celebration. She started the run at police parade ground at Pratapnagar and ends it at 5 in the morning to welcome the 75th Independence Day celebrarions.

An M.Sc in Mathematics, Nisha Kumari done this feat earlier at the same ground and on the ocassion of Mothers Day at Naini lake in Nainitaal. Now at Vadodara she is running again as part of 75 years of India's Independence. She started running from 5pm and will complete the 12 hours running at 5 in the morning on 15 August. The aim is to give a message of fit India to everyone.

Nisha dedicated her run 'Desh Ka Din Desh Ke Naam' to the martyrs and the soldiers guarding our borders. The run is a part of her preparation to climb Mount Everest and Mount Lothse together. She will be the first one to attempt it.

Vadodara police also extent its support to her and 40 of their staff will be supporting Nisha Kumari in her 12 hour running.

Nisha also completed Ride for Vaccination Cycle expedition to raise public awareness about the corona vaccine in the Himalayan icy region earlier in the month of June.
