With chants of Nand Gher Anand Bhayo..Jai Kanaiya Lalki, celebration of Krishna Janmotsav started in Vadodara city. From early morning, preparations were started for the birth of Lord Krishna at 12 o'clock at night in societies, pols, houses and temples including Gotri ISKCON temple, Vaishnava mansions, Ramji temples. Devotees had been flocking to the temples since morning.

Along with that, crowds of devotees were also seen in the markets to buy various items including baby Gopal, Krishna's outfits and ornaments. Strict police bandobast is kept at places by the city police to maintain law and order. Large temples, including ISKCON, were checked by the dog squad.

Clouds had been hovering over the city since morning after heavy rains with thunderstorms on the eve of Krishna's birth anniversary. Special enthusiasm is seen among citizens to celebrate Janmashtami with enthusiasm. Equal happiness was seen among the saints to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna seated in the ISKCON temple of the city.

Preparations were started by the temple to decorate the cradle to swing Lord Krishna. Similarly, preparations for the celebration of Krishna Janmotsav were started in Vaishnava mansions, Swaminarayan temples, Ramji temples, pols and in societies of the city. All were adorned with garlands of Asopalava and other flowers.

At the same time, people flocked to the markets to buy various items including Lord Krishna's outfits, cradles, ornaments, panjiri, flower-garlands, cradle ornaments. Unprecedented enthusiasm was seen among the citizens regarding Krishna Janmotsav. On the other hand, in temples, societies and pols, the chanting of Lord Krishna Janmotsav started from the morning. The whole city was in Krishna devotion as hymns were sung to celebrate Krishna Janmotsav.

Citizens who could not celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna with fanfare last year due to the Corona epidemic, this time there was a double enthusiasm to celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna.
