The Department of Social Work of the M.S. University has recently started the Setu - Online Help Center, One Stop Center for Treatment and Help of Covid Epidemic (Covid-19 Response Field Action Project) project.
The project, initiated by the Faculty of Social Work, provides services to those in need in areas such as medical services, counseling services, resource mobilisation, inquiry and reference services, online communication services with children (for MSU staff only).
Head of Social Work Department Dr. Bhavna Mehta said that ration kit drive has been started in Subhashnagar, Manjalpur area of Vadodara city under the Setu project. The kit includes wheat flour, rice, jaggery, oil, various spices, tur dal etc. Surgical masks and soap are also provided to the needy along with the kit. Approximately 200 ration kits were distributed by the students in these two areas in Tuesday.
This commendable work of social service is being done by the Department of Social Work with the help of the carriers and coordinators of this project. Those who have helped the students in this scheme are commendable.
