Vadodara crime branch registered case against Oasis institute for hiding information and not inform the police about the serious offence. The police registered case against Vaishnavi Taparia, Managing Trustee Preeti Shah and her husband Sanjeev Shah under IPC 176, 202, 114 and further investigating in the case.

During investigation the team found that the deceased girl was doing MHE course in Oasis institute and work as store management in book publication department. The girl informed the incident to the trustee of Oasis and other girls working there. In spite of that they don't take any action and hide the incident knowing that it's a serious cognizable offence.

The release by police mentioned that if the responsible persons of Oasis informed the police department on time then it will be easy for the police to solve the case, collect evidence and also might save the life of the girl. In the start the trustees and responsible don't show urgency in providing documentary evidence and present later on after intensive interrogation and hence not support in investigation. Crime branch ACP D.S. Chauhan is investigating after representation were made against the Oasis institute. During this and based on evidence police registered case against the responsible and action will be taken which leads to cancellation of registration.

The release further states, during investigation about their role in hiding the incident, Vaishnavi Taparia got the information first about the incident happened on 29th October and informed Oasis Management Trustee Preeti Shah and her husband Sanjeev Shah on phone. With some bad intention they don't inform the police or her parents in spite of knowing the seriousness of crime. Hence crime branch registered case under IPC 176, 202, 114 against Vaishnavi Taparia, Preeti Shah and Sanjeev Shah and further investigating.
