Vadodara City Congress had protested against the price hike of petrol which had reached Rs 100 in a unique way on Friday. Congress workers staged the protest by cutting the cake writing Rs 100 on it showing the petrol price. All the activists were detained by the police before the matter took a violent form.

The city Congress led by city Congress spokesperson Amit Ghotikar staged the demonstration outside the petrol pump at Pratapnagar Road with banners and posters like Abki Bar Mehengi Sarkar. They raised slogans against the government and cut the cake with 100 written on it.

The event gained lots of attraction from passers by as the Congress are chanted anti government slogans and protest the petrol price rise. However all of them were detained by the police for violating law and order and notification in place.
