The Vadodara team of 181 Abhayam Mahila Suraksha Helpline has come across a shocking incident involving three school going girl students addicted to smoking cigarettes. The team convinced the teenage girls addicted to cigarettes about its bad effects and counsel them to stay away from such addiction.
Giving details of the incident, Chandrakant Makwana, coordinator of the Abhayam, said they recieved a call from the teenagers complained about a ugly fight and sought help. After that a team went to the spot and found that the teenagers living there addicted to cigarettes. They tried to force a friend to smoke cigarette after calling her to the flat. When the fourth teenager refused, the three teenagers swore to her and posted a photo of themselves smoking cigarettes on Instagram.
When the matter came to the notice of the parents they went to the house of the teenagers and tried to persuade them. However the parents of other girls reached there and a ugly fight happened there. They then called Abhayam for help.
The counsellor persuade the four teenagers to stay away from this type of addiction and focus on learning.
