The prevention of crime branch (PCB) busted the Bishnoi gang on Wednesday and arrested four men involved in ferrying liquor in the city. The police have seized liquor worth over Rs 16 lakh along with five vehicles, mobile phones and a fake Aadhaar card.

According to the police, it had received a tip-off that a liquor stock had arrived in the city and had been kept in the godown on Bil Road. The cops made three separate teams and raided the spot where they found liquor stored in two vehicles. "We arrested four men from the spot and seized all the liquor stock," the PCB sleuths said.

Those arrested have been identified as Ghevarchand Bishnoi, Narayan Bishnoi, Dinesh Bishnoi and Dineshkumar Bishnoi, all residents of Rajasthan. Five other persons are wanted in the case. The police said that this gang takes offices or houses on rent and then uses the rent agreements to get rental vehicles. They then use the vehicles to ferry the liquor stock and store them in the rented properties in the city.
