6 NDRF team conducted an Operation and rescued two persons who were trapped in Kari river near Village, Bhoringada in Taluka- Liliya of Amreli district. The team in a four hours operation rescued two persons native of Madhya Pradesh.

Amreli district of Gujarat has received heavy rains following the effect of impact of cyclone Gulab. A team of Vadodara NDRF has been deployed in the district in case of any crisis. On Wednesday midnight two youths were rescued from flooded Kari river with timely help by NDRF.

According to NDRF spokesperson Deputy Commandant Anupam, two youths from Madhya Pradesh were trapped in the flowing water of Kari river near Bhoringada village in Lilia taluka.

Upon learning of the incident, the team carried out rescue operation at around 12.45 am and rescued them from the flood waters. The rescue operation lasted for about three and a half hours.

The youths, aged 30 and 28, were residents of a village in Petlawad tehsil of Jhabua district in Madhya Pradesh.
