Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Women and Child Development reached Kevadia to attend a two-day National Conference between the States and Union Territories at Statue of Unity, under the National Nutrition Mass organized by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development on Monday evening. Arriving at the Circuit House, Ganpat Singh Vasava, Minister for Tribal Welfare, Women and Child Welfare, Gujarat, welcomed Smriti Irani. Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare, Gujarat, Vibhavariben Dave also joined her from Vadodara.

Union Minister Smriti Irani visited the newly constructed community radio station "Radio Unity 90 FM" at the Statue of Unity. In the conversation, she discussed the work done by the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat in relation to her department and answered in detail all the questions of RJs working as radio jockeys.

At the end she discussed about the training given to all the local RJs of the radio station. On this occasion she congratulated RJ Nilam, RJ Guru, RJ Hetal, RJ Ganga and RJ Sama. She also congratulated the RJ of Community Radio for promoting the culture of the country and for taking note of their conversations in Sanskrit in the Prime Minister's "Mann-Ki-Baat" program.

Later she also visited the Children-Nutrition Park and review the activities taking place for nutrition awareness. Nishchal Joshi, Director, Children-Nutrition Park and Pratik Mathur, Facility Manager provided necessary information on this occasion.

Union Minister then watched the laser-projection mapping show at the Statue of Unity. The Union Minister was accompanied by Ganpat Singh Vasava, Minister of State for Gujarat, Vibhavariben Dave, Secretary KK Nirala and CEO of SOUADTGA Ravi Shankar.
