Twin brother committed suicide in Vadodara over depression
One died another under treatment in serious condition
Twin brothers committed suicide in Vadodara resulting in death on one and another hospitalised in serious condition. They are said to be in depression and took the extreme step inside their house situated in New Alkapuri area of city. Laxmipura police registered the case and further investigating.
As per available details, Rajesh Patel lives with his wife and twin sons in Shantanu apartment located within the jurisdiction of Laxmipura police station, known as New Alkapuri in the city. Rajesh Patel and his wife work as teachers in a district primary school in Anand district. On Monday evening their twin twin sons committed suicide with separate clothes in their study room.
The parents, who came home from work late in the evening, were stunned to see their two sons hanged in their study room. The people of the apartment rushed to their home after heard their cries and taken both to a private hospital where one died and one is under treatment.
Laxmipura police Sub Inspector R.K. Gosai rushed to the spot with staff after the information and began investigation. Both the brothers are studying in Std-12 Science in a private school in Karelibaug area and said to be in depression after coming home from Neet exam.
PSI R.K. Gosai said the two brothers are believed to have committed suicide after falling into depression due to the results of the exam. However, the exact cause of the twin brothers suicide will come out after an investigation. A case has been registered at Laxmipura police station and investigation is on in the matter.
Notably, there has been a significant increase in suicides by students in the last 15 days in Vadodara which raised concern among parents.
