A tree Plantation program held at Gujarat Central University under construction campus at Kundhela in Dabhoi taluka. It may be mentioned that the Gujarat Government has allotted 100 acres of land at Kundhela for the permanent campus of Gujarat Central University, whose construction work is about to begin. Three thousand different types of trees will be planted to make the campus green before the new campus was ready.
Chancellor of Gujarat Central University Hasmukh Adhia, Chancellor Prof. Ramashankar Dubey, Dr. Satyaprakash Upadhyay, Deans of different faculties, senior professors, Sarpanch of Kundhela village, office bearers of the University, C. W. D. C. officials were present during the plantation.
A presentation was also made on the structure, planning, etc. of the campus under construction. Chancellor Hasmukh Adhia inspected the premises under construction and expressed his satisfaction and gave guidelines.
Trees like banyan, pipal, mango, kadam, neem were planted in the premises by the dignitaries. Chancellor Prof. Ramashankar Dubey expressed happiness that a national level institution will be set up in this region of Gujarat in the near future. The campus will be made green by planting 3,000 trees of a special type, he added.
