Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, will unveil a mural of Mahatma Gandhi on the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, today (January 30, 2022).

The Home Minister's Office (HMO) announced the event on Twitter, which is set to take place at 10 a.m. today.

"Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will unveil the Mural of Mahatma Gandhi Ji at the Sabarmati Riverfront, Ahmedabad Gujarat t 10 am on January 30," HMO tweeted.

On January 30 and March 23, India commemorates 'Shaheed Divas,' or Martyrs' Day, to honour the independence fighters who gave their lives for their country. Every year on January 30th, Martyrs' Day is commemorated to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's death anniversary and to honour his contributions to the country's freedom.
