The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has arrested three suspected terrorists including Ahmad Saiyyad, Mohammed Suhel, and Aazad, from Adalaj, near Gandhinagar.
According to sources, the suspects are believed to be part of a new terror module with alleged links to ISIS. Of the three, two are said to be from Uttar Pradesh, while one hails from Hyderabad.
Acting on a tip-off about suspicious activities linked to terrorism, the ATS mounted surveillance on the suspects.
After days of close monitoring, the team apprehended all three individuals before they could allegedly execute any potential plan in the state.
Preliminary reports suggest the accused may have been plotting a major attack or aiding a wider terror network.
The ATS is now interrogating the trio to uncover details about their network, associates, and the nature of their plans.
Officials believe the questioning could lead to significant revelations about the operations of the new terror module.
The Gujarat ATS will hold an official press conference at 1 pm on Sunday to disclose further details about the arrested suspects and their alleged links to ISIS.
