Three more arrested in GPSSB junior clerk exam paper leak case

Three more accused were arrested on Friday for their alleged involvement in the recent GPSSB junior clerk exam paper leak.

According to Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) officers, one of the accused, Saroj Malu, was arrested from Chandanpur in Odisha on Wednesday, while two others, Nishikant Kushwaha and Nandkishor Singh Rajput, who are residents of Vadodara, were caught from Kolkata on Friday.

The paper leak forced the Gujarat government to cancel the competitive exam a couple of hours before it was scheduled on January 29.

At least 9.53 lakh candidates had registered for the exam to be conducted by the Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB) at 2,995 centres across the state. They were competing for 1,181 posts.

Following a tip-off, Gujarat ATS on January 28 found the question paper had been leaked and caught 15 persons in this connection.

According to the Gujarat ATS, their teams also searched the offices of the accused, Ketan Barot, on Ashram Road and in Naroda.
