A thief targeted Mahalakshmi Provision Store at Shital Apartment near Alkapuri Windsor Plaza in Vadodara city late at night and stole Rs 6 to 7 lakh in cash from the shop. The whole incident was captured in the CCTV and based on that police began a search to nab the accused.

As per details the mini super provision store named Mahalakshmi in Shop No. 1 and 2 in Shital Apartment near Alkapuri Windsor Plaza, jointly owned by four brothers including Vinodbhai Gandhi, who lives in Vachanamurt Residency in Atalara area of ​​the city. The shop was closed late at night and everyone went home. Meanwhile, a stranger entered the shop by cutting the shutter of the shop with a gas cutter and stole Rs 6 to 7 lakh from a shop drawer and fled. However, the whole incident was captured in the CCTV installed inside the shop.

Vinod Gandhi said in the morning he received a call from the security guard of the near by complex about the shutters of the shop were broken. He along with his nephew Pintu and others reached there and informed the police.

He further said that the thief did not break the lock but broke the shutter with gas cutter. in the shop. Only one person entered the shop and stole Rs 6 to 7 lakh in cash. A complaint has been lodged at the Sayajiganj police station. Police have registered a complaint and began investigation into the theft based on the footage.
