Heavy torrential rains continue to pound Bharuch district and the entire South Gujarat region for the last four days. In the last 24 hours, Bharuch district recorded 5 inches of rainfall. Most of the low-lying areas in Bharuch town and district have been inundated due to flooding.
The Bharuch district administration is on its feet to ensure there is no loss of life and property due to the heavy torrential rains.
The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert in Bharuch and other districts in South Gujarat till July 15.
