With regard to the monsoon pattern, the deployment of National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) based in Jarod near Vadodara in various districts of Gujarat and Rajasthan has been upgraded and six teams have been reserved at Vadodara headquarters for use in case of emergency. At present 16 teams are available.
Out of those two teams have been deployed in Kota and Udaipur districts of Rajasthan to deal with any possible situation of rain disaster.
Giving detailed information, Deputy Commander of the Force Anupam said that a total of 8 teams are currently deployed in Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Kutch, Rajkot and Porbandar in Gujarat.
While 6 teams have been made available at Vadodara headquarters in case of any emergency.
