The Gujarat government issued issued a notification four days before the Dashama festival about the guidelines to celebrate the festival in view of the covid situation. The local administration as well as police had issued instructions at the local level not to keep the Dashama statue above 4 feet, not to use DJs, take out a procession or procession and request to immerse the idols at home.

However in view of no advance notifications, the sculptors had no time to prepare environment friendly clay idols and istead made the POP ones which takes long time to dissolve. Looking at such hazard the Team Revolution in Vadodara has come forward to help people to immerse the idols with proper rituals.

The POP idols are hazardous and government always insist people not to use them and istead switch to clay idols which are environment friendly and quickly dissolve in water. Looking at this the team Revolution decides to collect POP idols from the city and immerse them at the Arabian Sea with rituals. For that they have booked more then 100 tempos to take idols till the shore and then in middle of the sea in hired boats.

"We started online registration from 11th August where people can register themselves on their website www.swejalvyas.com providing their details along with the height of the idols and area of their residence till 15-08-2021. After the registration of Dashama idols, the team will go to every area in small tempos and collect the idols. On 18-8-21 they will take the idols carefully to the Arabian Sea 500 kilometers away from Vadodara and immerse them in middle of the sea with the help of boats. We have hired tempos and boats for the work, " Said Swejal Vyas of founder of Team Revolution.

For this, a nominal tempo fare has been charged by Team Revolution to collect the statues of Dashama from each area. All other expenses will be borne by Team Revolution, added Vyas.
