Taluka flood control rooms were alerted regarding the rainy season

Resident Additional Collector Dilip Patel has issued necessary instructions as per the guidance of the District Collector regarding the rainy weather since yesterday in Vadodara city and district. In which all the taluka flood control rooms of the district have been asked to be fully vigilant for next couple of days.

All Talatis have been instructed to stay in their duty villages and take necessary precautionary measures if required. The officers of the Deputy Collector cadre have been assigned by the district administration as liaison officers for various talukas pertaining to the monsoon. All these officers have been asked to keep a constant watch on the rainfall situation of their respective talukas and maintain liaison.

In the current monsoon and in view of rain related disaster, officers were appointed by the army to coordinate with the Vadodara district administration.

In case of natural calamities due to heavy rains in monsoons, in rescue and relief operations the district administration can get the the help of army units if required.

As a precautionary measure, the Army has appointed a high-ranking officer to coordinate with the Vadodara district administration in rescue and relief operations. This responsibility has been handed over to Lt. Col. Shri BS Rathore of Makarpura Army Unit, Vadodara. District Collector welcomes this courtesy of the Army.
